The Role: This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision-engineered components safely, efficiently and accurately. Programming experience is essential for this role. What You'll Be Doing: Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes using CAD/CAM software and machine controls Produce first-off components to engineering drawing specifications Modify and improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency Maintain programme documentation and backups Setting & Operating: Set and operate CNC milling machines Select appropriate tooling and fixtures Manufacture one-off and batch components to tight tolerances Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments Quality: Inspect components using precision measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges Complete first-off inspections Identify and report any non-conformances promptly
Essential Experience Needed: Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programming experience is essential Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Excellent attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills Good communication skills and a positive attitude Desirable Experience: CAD/CAM programming experience. Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls. Experience operating Haas and Matsuura machinery. Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.Working Hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Friday Flexible working hours; start as early as 6:00am Complete your 39 hours across five working days to suit your preferred schedule #INDENG Work Location: In person
