Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Bench Hand Joiner to join our workshop team at our well respected client based in Beeston, a leading manufacturer of bespoke joinery and high-end timber products.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated craftsperson who takes pride in precision work and has a strong background in producing custom woodwork for commercial or residential projects.
Working hours:
07:00 - 15:30pm Monday to Friday.
Overtime available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture high-quality joinery products including doors, windows, staircases, cabinets, and bespoke fittings
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and job specifications
- Use a variety of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools
- Carry out assembly, sanding, finishing, and fitting as required
- Ensure products are built to exact specifications and high-quality standards
- Work closely with the workshop team and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bench joiner or in a similar joinery/carpentry role
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and finishes
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Skilled with hand tools and woodworking machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification (preferred)
