Job Description:
Robertson are working with an aerospace manufacturer producing high-performance components used in advanced aircraft and space systems.
As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for welding aerospace-grade materials to exact specifications while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience working within regulated manufacturing environments.
Working hours
Monday to Friday
07:30am - 16:00pm
Early finish on a Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on aerospace components and assemblies to engineering specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
- Prepare materials, set up welding equipment, and ensure proper fit-up before welding
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with quality standards
- Follow aerospace manufacturing procedures and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding (preferably in aerospace, aviation, or precision manufacturing)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and quality control processes
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing defect-free work
