Job description
Workshop Team Leader required for a leading distribution company based in Beeston, Monday – Friday (no weekends) hours are between 7am-5pm (42.5 hours) Salary is between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience, with a monthly bonus!

Workshop Team Leader – The Job Role:

• Day to day leadership and direction to the workshop team.

• Ensure all policies and procedures regarding workshop safety & compliance are robust.

• Be accountable for the accurate fabrication and production of orders as per the specified drawing or job card.

• Complete workshop team appraisals, performance reviews and performance plans

• Operational admin as required.

• Conduct regular workshop team meetings and communicate business and department updates

• Provide regular open feedback to the design and sales team.

• Monitor operational practices to ensure that safety and compliance requirements are adhered too.

• Create a positive team culture with a ‘can do’ attitude and driving continuous.

Workshop Team Leader – The Person:

•Experience of managing in a workshop environment.

• Excellent written and oral communication.

• Remain accurate and diligent.

• Deliver a highly trained and developed team who are up to date with the latest fabrication/engineering techniques.

• Ability to manage and work to tight deadlines while under pressure.

• Problem solving initiative.

• Ability to understand complex CAD fabrication drawings.

• A customer first approach to achieving success with a ‘can do’ attitude.
